Meet Pico. She’s another knitted rabbit, this time for my friend Gail. She fell in love with Lucias rabbit and so what could I do? I had to make her a little bunny of her very own. I’m very pleased with how she came out and the dress is beautiful. The pattern is once again The well dressed bunny by fuzzymitten.
This is my Ten stitch Blanket.
I’m making really slow progress with my ten stitch blanket. It’s really beautiful and I can’t wait to finish it. I only really work on it for a couple of hours when watching tele so it’ll probably be finished in time for my old age. At least it’s big enough to keep me warm as I knit now. It’s a nice plod along project although I’m embarrassed to say that I started it in 2012!
I’ve not really been doing much this week. I went back to work after 6 weeks off sick on Friday, that was rubbish. I wish I didn’t have to work, I just want to swan about yarn shops all day and do a bit of colouring in the evening. *sigh*
I’ll write about our recent trip to Edinburgh next time. We had a great time but I forgot to take photos again! I’m crap I know.
I’ve been busy this week finishing up loads of projects. Most of these are for my friend who is due to have her baby very soon. I have loved knitting and crocheting for her, she makes things herself so I know they will be appreciated.
I made this pram blanket by using an old favourite pattern, the mosaic granny square by Le monde de sucrette It’s a really good way of updating an old classic. You can find the pattern here: Mosaic granny square pattern.
This little cardigan and hat make me giddy, they are so tiny! I was going to add white buttons but went for the vintage blue instead, I think they look great.
The pattern is a really simple seamless yoked cardigan from Carole Barenys Baby knits. The slipped stitch border really makes it special.
Thankfully all the gifts were really well received. Here’s Lucias lovely photos of them all together, the bibs at the front are made by Bethany Eowyn. I must admit, they do look pretty good. I can’t wait for the baby to be born so I can get started on some other bits. It’s great to have a little one to knit for.
Have you been working on anything cute or tiny? I would loe to hear about them.
