I finally finished these socks for Lee. The pattern is Petty Harbour by Rayna Curtis. It was a nice pattern that was really easy to memorise, so perfect for me. I have had the yarn for so long that I can’t remember what it is. I know I bought it in Buxton when we were camping there. They took forever because of Lees huge feet and he wanted them long for walking boots, he’s very pleased with them which make me very happy.
I found a tutorial on you tube for Russian grafting and finished the toe that way, it was so much easier that kitchener stitch. I fucking hate kitchener stitch, it’s stupid and a complete bastard to do. It’s Russian grafting all the way for me from now on.
Then there are these ugly buggers. The pattern is Glacier Lake toe up socks by Sue Ann Kendall (Sunaknits), the yarn has been in my stash forever and its horrible. All in all I hate these socks, as soon as they were finished I gave them away to my daughter. She like them, I don’t know why!
